Colorado Kayak Supply can’t keep boats in stock!

June 16, 2004

Some shops need more than others because customers look to them for the best advice and the best service. CKS is one of those shops. They have an impact nationwide and almost any kayaker who has ventured to Colorado for some of the best June runoff in the USA has probably bought something from them. Their catalog and website also keeps people informed and is usually a welcome addition to most kayakers mailboxes. Well, if they have one complaint with Jackson Kayak, it is that they can sell way more Funs than we can make them. Earl and Chad bought the business from Stolquist and combined an incredible kayak school, Summit Kayak, with an icon in the Arkansas Valley, CKS. Today, Earl and Chad bring tons of new people into the sport, and offers them a great place to shop, from home, or at their expansive facility. Whether running Pine Creek, The Numbers, or Browns Canyon, a stop off at the CKS stores makes your day complete. From a Jackson Kayak point of view- CKS came on board as a dealer long before we had any product and took the leap of faith in our ability to produce the best boats at the best price. Because of this we provide CKS boats near the top of the priority list. Unfortunately, they still sell their entire order on the first day they get it, crazy. I look forward to the day when somebody can walk into CKS, or any shop and check out a kayak on the floor, maybe even buy the color they want from the boats in stock. For now, however, I am happy that people like the boats and those who pre-order them can get the color they want.
