My life starts everyday when I awake, look to my left, and see Kristine.

My life starts again when I sit in my kayak and see the world, pristine.

Every day I am challenged, how far from my breaking point, I hope I never know.

Because as long as I never give up, stop, or quit, then there is no end to the show.

Growth is something that intrigues me as much as anything, in my life.

I see it everyday in my kids, my kayaking, my career, and my wife.

It is not steady, or sure, or apparent every day;

The path does not yet lay in front of us, to show the way.

This is the source of our adventure, our daily discovery.

Where can we go today, If lost; how will we stage the recovery,

The beauty is that we don’t really know where we are going now.

We are focused on the journey, the process of finding out how,

We know the why, the who, and welcome just about any where.

If you study the path that lay behind me, it goes pretty straight,

So, it is easy to extend the line ahead, if you don’t want to wait.

To know what journey lies ahead for myself, my kids, and my wife.

As long as I am proud of this current path, you can predict the rest of My Life.
