NYC Kids Camp Day 3- 1st Whitewater Run in Connecticut

The Housatonic River in Connecticut is a beautiful piece of New England with easy access to NYC. The small town of Kent is an awesome little New England stopping spot for art, food, ice cream, or checking out historic houses. The River is an easy class 1 and 2 run. I sent my proxy in, Emily and Dane to teach for me on the water since I am still broken (10 stitches in my hand).

The river run went very well with the kids learning their strokes and concepts, whitewater skills, and getting into the great outdoors.

Alex Nicks was the guest instructor and what a treat to have somebody with his personality and skill on the water.

Margie and Hayden did a terrific job, once again combining a thorough approach and a fun filled river run to the clinic. Jessie brings a caring personality, strong skills, a strong desire to see the others succeed and a lot of fun to the trip.

Tomorrow is the final river run on the Farmington River in Connecticut- class 2-3!

p.s. I am off to Salt Lake City tomorrow with the kids- look for a photo of the Fun 1.5 there!
