Today the amp theater was finished, and although stress levels were high in the base camp- the first scheduled concert went off in great form. Niche- best described by Kristine as Cake (the band), but with their own style, played a single 90 minute set to Christian the stage. Long incredible instrumentals and occaisonal short adolescent songs, like, "It sucks to be a slug" rounded out a a great day in which the Route 3 wave magically appeared to drown out the neysayers voices and replace them with the strong voices those who are getting things done. Also on site was the beer vendor, and an increbile young glass blower who studied under the best of Italy. What does that have to do with anything? I have my 16th anniversary coming up on the first day of US Team Trials, enough said.
