The first event of the 2008 World Cup is over, and I’m sitting at the restaurant overlooking the Augsburg whitewater course. This is where event #2 will be held this weekend. It’s beautiful here.
Prague was good times with tons of paddlers, a huge slalom course, a wildly fluctuating hole, and lots of rain ;). I think that I’m still drying-out from 3 days straight of drizzle that covered everything with mud, snails, and giant slugs—Dane actually put a saddle on one of the slugs and went riding it around the campground. Slugs don’t move very fast.
