Boats delivered to California Canoe and Kayak
Sacramento store
April 21, 2004
California Canoe and Kayak were hand
delivered their boats to the Sacramento store with Demany
and Jeff taking delivery yesterday. It has been one of my
favorite things to hand deliver boats so far. I like seeing
the reaction by the store managers and staff when they see
the boats for the first time. Demany called a customer who
preordered his son, Raven, (turning six years old very soon,
he says) a new Fun 1. Raven is a single child getting lots
of attention from mom and dad and is quite well spoken and
familiar with kayaking. Dane and Raven hung out a little bit
and it was fun hearing their conversation. Raven has a pool
at home which will really give him an opportunity to learn
to paddle in a comfortable environment.
Next to CCK's store is a bike shop and
I borrowed a fish scale from them to weigh all of the boats
that they have in stock. Jeff and I pulled one boat after
another off their shelf and hung the from the scale to compare
advertised weights to actual weights, and actual weights to
Jackson Kayak weights. Interesting stuff:

Anyway- Good stuff- We just need to get
the rest of the boats out in the next couple of weeks so more
than the little people can enjoy them!
