Photos of the first final Fun 1 in Cross Linked plastic right here!

March 10, 2004

David Knight and I outfitted this kayak last Sunday at the plant using the new foot system and now you can see what it looks like in plastic! Shiny, beautiful lines, and it paddles like a dream. Everything I was hoping for in the Fun series is becoming a reality, plus some!

Here you see the boat before and during its maiden voyage in Jackson Pond.

Notice that it is shiny - that is because the molds are polished to a 600 grit finish- you can use the molds for a mirror!

OK- So now to the whitewater. Today we did the falls and it was a sweet level for testing the river running capabilities. The bow stays up over the water as well as the stern and all of the edges. This boat combines the best beginner capabilities with the best of playboating and difficult river running. These photos are of the “spout”.
